It has been a month since we last updated you on the status of our garden so I thought I would share some more pics and a bit of an update. We don’t have any produce yet to eat but a lot of things are flowering and will start growing very soon! It is very exciting!! We inspect the garden almost daily.

Spaghetti Squash

Spaghetti Squash

We are very excited about the spaghetti squash. They are a new love for us since going grain free so we can’t wait to eat our own!

A lonely carrot

A lonely carrot

The day after we planted our carrots there was an intense down pour and most of the seeds likely washed away. There are about 5 carrots growing though so we will hopefully get 1 meal out of them.

First planting of beets

Second planting of beets

Second planting of beets

We have done two plantings of beets with hopes of having them for a longer season. Some of the original beets were also lost to the same downpour as the carrots but a good number have survived. Now we just need to get rid of whatever is eating some of the leaves of our beets.

Peppers and Tomatoes

Peppers and Tomatoes

These are our peppers are tomatoes. On the far side the large plants we bought and transplanted. The littler ones, which are a mix of peppers and tomatoes, we grew from seeds. They are growing well and hopefully we will get something out of them later in the season. Next year we will start them sooner and transplant them to large pots sooner.

Cucumbers

Cucumbers

The back plant we bought and the front ones which aren’t far behind we grew from seeds. They are starting to get buds for flowers.

Zucchini

Zucchini

This zucchini plant with it’s large flower we got from my dad. The smaller one in the front right corner we grew from seed.

So that is our garden. There is also some garlic but it’s pretty boring. We can’t wait to have somethings to pick soon!
