The final day of our commitment to show you what we eat in a week! While it has been fun plating our food each meal it has been so stressful to make sure that everything looks amazing. We hope that you have enjoyed seeing what we eat and maybe it has inspired you to try new things.

Friday

Breakfast
Homemade grain free cereal with almond milk

We make this cereal usually about once a week. We love it and it’s handy to have on hand for quick snacks. Our toddler also loves it.

Lunch

Sausage and Sweet Potato Pasta with homemade sauce (tomatoes, hakurei (CSA), green onion, thyme, oregano, basil)

Tom and I both grew up having pasta at least once a week. Going grain free was hard because we both, at first, missed having pasta in our diet. Tom heard about these crazy sweet potato noodles and we were on the search for them at our local Asian food market. Eventually we did track them down. While it took awhile for us to get used to the texture, these noodles now fulfill our need for pasta. You can see them poking out of the left of this picture.

Dinner

BBQ salmon topped with creamed cinnamon honey, mashed sweet potatoes, and roasted red peppers and hakurei.

This was a yummy meal!! We roasted the red peppers and hakurei together in tinfoil on the BBQ in salt, pepper and oil. We will definitely do this again!
